MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience at Somerset Mall this weekend

We recently reported on a super exciting and fun mega-event, the MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience 2025. It’s fantastic to see all the events taking place across the country for “South Africa’s biggest gaming showdown” at Hyprop shopping centers, providing attendees with a ton of action.

Take this as a PSA: The latest big MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience 2025 event is taking place at the Somerset Mall in Somerset West, Western Cape, this weekend. There are three days of non-stop action to look forward to for local gamers, from 30 May to 1 June 2025.

Online qualifiers for the EA FC 25 tournament have already taken place on the ACGL website, and there’s a lot to get excited about. Entry into all events for contestants, as well as viewers, is completely free, so just head there. Check out the address below.

“Gamers can also go head-to-head in Tekken, Street Fighter 6, Brawlhalla, Rocket League, Minecraft and Call of Duty: Mobile, with dozens of R1 000+ gift card prizes on offer each weekend. The Beat Saber Challenge, hosted by MTN and playable both in-mall and on MTN’s Battle+ platform, brings a high-energy VR experience into the mix. Players with the highest Beat Saber scores at each mall qualify for the National Final – and anyone who tries it stands a chance to win a gaming PC worth R50 000.“
