CrossFire at EWC 2026 results and final standings
As the dust is settling over the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 mega-event, which finished up this past Sunday with the Counter-Strike 2 tournament, we’re completing our reports of the final results. Let’s take a look at what went down during the CrossFire tournament.
BaiSha Gaming wins EWC 2026 CrossFire
From 18 to 22 August, the best 16 CrossFire teams from across the globe competed for their share of the huge $2 million (roughly R32.2 million) in front of a crowd in Paris, France.
Sparks flew in the Group Stage, with Team Liquid topping Group A, and KINGZERO-eSports topping Group B. Chinese side BaiSha Gaming narrowly made it out of Group B in 4th place. As the tournament entered the eight-team single-elimination Playoffs Stage, however, BaiSha Gaming woke up.
BaiSha Gaming first took down fellow Chinese side All Gamers in the Quarterfinals with a 2-1 score, and then bested KINGZERO-eSports 3-1 after losing the first map. In the Grand Final against Team Liquid, BaiSha Gaming swept their opponents under the rug with a clean 3-0 win to claim the gold.
BaiSha Gaming’s Wang “N9” Hao was named the Sony MVP and earned an additional $25,000 for his fantastic efforts to propel his team to the trophy.
