Aurora Gaming wins MLBB M7 World Championship

At the Tennis Indoor Stadium Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia, the seventh annual Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) world championship took place. It was an incredible showcase of skill and the mobile MOBA title’s longevity, entertaining fans across the globe.

M7 World Championship results

The final eight MLBB teams competed on stage, fighting in a double-elimination bracket for their share of the $1 million prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R16 million.

In the upper bracket, it was Aurora Gaming PH who took charge, beating Team Liquid PH with a 2-1 score, then Alter Ego with a 3-1 score, and finally, Selangor Red Giants with a 3-2 score to make it to the Grand Final.

Alter Ego first defeated ONIC 2-0 in the upper bracket before falling to Aurora Gaming PH. The squad then bounced back with vigor in the lower bracket, eliminating Team Spirit 2-1, then Team Liquid PH 3-2, and Selangor Red Giants 3-1 for a spot in the Grand Final.

In the Grand Final, it was Aurora Gaming PH who wouldn’t be denied the trophy, beating Alter Ego in a clean 4-0 sweep to become the world champions.

The M7 World Championship was a huge success, breaking several viewership records. It is now the fourth most-watched tournament in esports history, with a peak of 5,680,511 during the Grand Final between Alter Ego and Aurora Gaming PH.
