LoL Worlds 2025 playoffs stage set after thrilling groups
The Mercedes-Benz Arena beckons, as the Playoffs bracket for the League of Legends (LoL) World Championship, referred to simply as LoL Worlds 2025, is set. The final eight teams will fight at the fantastic venue in China for their share of the massive $5 million prize pool (roughly R86 million) until only two remain.
At the Dong’an Lake Sports Park Multifunctional Gymnasium, the final two teams will do battle in November for the Summoner’s Cup and the title of world champion. Playoffs Stage LoL Worlds 2025 matchups
First off, as a fan of the “unkillable demon king,” I am happy to report that defending, back-to-back champions, T1, has made it through to the Playoffs Stage by the skin of their teeth, as the legendary mid player Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok always seems to get a buff at LoL Worlds. He is, after all, looking for his sixth Summoner’s Cup, by far the most of any player in history.
With that little factoid out of the way, let’s take a look at the LoL Worlds 2025 Playoffs Stage bracket, including all matchups, dates, and times in SAST.
- Hanwha Life vs. Gen.G Esports (Quarterfinals) starting on 28 October at 09:00.
- CTBC Flying Oyster vs. KT Rolster (Quarterfinals) starting on 29 October at 09:00.
- G2 Esports vs. Top Esports (Quarterfinals) starting on 30 October at 09:00.
- T1 vs. Anyone’s Legend (Quarterfinals) starting on 31 October at 09:00.
- Semifinals #1 starting on 1 November at 09:00.
- Semifinals #2 starting on 2 November at 09:00.
- Grand Final starting on 9 November at 09:00.
The Playoffs Stage features a single-elimination bracket, where all matches are best-of-five, using the Fearless Draft system.
