We saw this year’s League of Legends World Championship, often called Worlds 2023, come to a thrilling conclusion on 19 November in South Korea, with the grand finals taking place at the Gocheok Sky Dome. Here’s what went down in the playoffs and grand final!

In the playoffs of LoL Worlds 2023, eight teams fought their hearts out. Weibo Gaming beat NRG 3-0 and Bilibili Gaming 3-2 in a dramatic back-and-forth match to make it to the grand final of LoL Worlds 2023.
On the other side of the single-elimination bracket, the legendary T1 team 3-0’ed LNG Esports and beat JD Gaming 3-1 to make it to the grand final.
Nothing could stop T1 from claiming the Summoner’s Cup in the grand final, demolishing Weibo Gaming 3-0 with the longest game lasting just over 30 minutes.
With T1’s domination at LoL Worlds 2023, after being denied the win last year by DRX, the GOAT of LoL esports, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, has become a world champion for the fourth time.
A big congratulations go out to T1 for their win at LoL Worlds 2023 and for claiming the first-place prize of $445,000, while Weibo Gaming gets a tasty $333,750 for their second-place finish.
