South African competing at EWC 2025 SF6 Last Chance qualifier
With the best teams and players from across the globe competing in a whopping 25 tournaments at the Esports World Cup mega-event, we are spoiled for choice when it comes to esports to enjoy. The only thing that can make a tournament even better is when we can watch local gamers compete on the international stage, in Saudi Arabia, for their share of a big prize pool.
We’ve already reported about three South Africans who are competing in various stages of the EA FC 25 event, and now, it’s time for the fighting game community fans to rise up! Yes, we have a South African player, Goliath Gaming’s Jabhi “JabhiM” Mabuza, competing at the Street Fighter 6 event’s Last Chance Qualifier at the STC Play Gaming Hall in Riyadh, for his share of the $50,000 prize pool, and one of 10 spots in the main event!
A total of 250 players are competing in the Last Chance Qualifier, and we hope to see Jabhi “JabhiM” Mabuza reach the top 10.
