Red Bull Hit The Streets returns for 2022: Qualifiers this weekend
The South African fighting game community (FGC) is in for an absolute treat once again. Red Bull Hit the Streets is officially back to crown the best Street Fighter V and Tekken 7 players in South Africa, and the first qualifiers take place this weekend. Here’s what you need to know.
Red Bull Hit The Streets 2022 details
First and foremost, it is completely free to enter the online qualifier for Red Bull Hit The Streets 2022 for both Street Fighter V and Tekken 7. You can simply head on over to the registration page over on the Red Bull website. Check out the important dates and schedule for the Red Bull Hit The Streets event below.
Qualifier dates:
- 03 December (Online Qualifier)
- 09 – 11 December (rAge Drive Qualifier, at rAge Expo, Gallagher Convention Centre)
- 16 December (Cape Town, Homecoming Centre)
National Finals:
- 17 December (V&A Amphitheatre)
A Press Release we’ve received explains: “This year’s qualifiers will take place over three weekends, with the online qualifier kicking things off on 03 December, followed by the rAge Drive Qualifier taking place at the rAge Expo between 09 – 11 December and the last qualifier at the Cape Town Homecoming Centre on 16 December. The winning teams will then take each other on at the national finals happening on 17 December at the V&A Amphitheatre.”
Good luck to all the Street Fighter V and Tekken 7 players who plan on entering the Red Bull Hit The Streets tournaments. Even if you don’t make it to the finals, there’s something to get excited about.
The Press Release explains that: “This year’s national finals will be available for gamers around the world to watch live on Red Bull’s Twitch page hosted by Sam Wright with Sandile Ntshingila. Commentary will be led by Sean Rihlamvu with Logan Sama for Street Fighter V and Ighsaan Latief with a special guest, for Tekken 7.”
