Mettlestate Cash Cups this week | 26 to 31 August 2024
In the final week of August, South African tournament organizer Mettlestate, alongside sponsors Spotify, Debonairs, and UrbanX, is bringing us a tonne of Cash Cups to participate in. Here are the most important details so you don’t miss out on the action!
Mettlestate Cash Cups this week
There are a total of 15 one-day Cash Cups featuring a variety of esports titles taking place this week, from 26 to 31 August 2024. There are three events per active days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday) for local gamers to enjoy, so let’s jump in.

- Teamfight Tactics Cup – 1v1 tournament starting Monday, 26 August 2024, at 19:30.
- Fortnite Cup – Duos battle royale tournament starting Monday, 26 August 2024, at 19:30.
- Brawl Stars Cup – 3v3 tournament starting Monday, 26 August 2024, at 19:30.
- Garena Free Fire Cup – Solos battle royale tournament starting Tuesday, 27 August 2024, at 19:30.
- COD Mobile Cup – Solos battle royale tournament starting Tuesday, 27 August 2024, at 19:30.
- Clash of Clans Cup – 1v1 tournament starting Tuesday, 27 August 2024, at 19:30.
- Chess Cup – 1v1 tournament starting Wednesday, 28 August 2024, at 19:30.
- Brawl Stars Cup – 3v3 tournament starting Wednesday, 28 August 2024, at 19:30.
- EA FC 24 Next-Gen Cup – 1v1 tournament starting Wednesday, 28 August 2024, at 19:30.
- Fortnite Cup – Duos battle royale tournament starting Thursday, 29 August 2024, at 19:30.
- Marvel Snap Cup – 1v1 tournament starting Thursday, 29 August 2024, at 19:30.
- Clash Royale Cup – 1v1 tournament starting Thursday, 29 August 2024, at 19:30.
- Clash of Clans Cup – 1v1 tournament starting Saturday, 31 August 2024, at 19:30.
- EA FC Mobile Cup – 1v1 tournament starting Saturday, 31 August 2024, at 19:30.
- TeamFight Tactics Cup – 1v1 tournament starting Saturday, 31 August 2024, at 19:30.
As always, registrations for these one-day cash cups close about two hours before the events begin, with check-in during the hour before. All tournaments above are free to enter and feature a base prize pool of R1,000, which increases to R2,000 depending on the players’ VIP status.
Prize pool distribution:
- 1st place: R500 (R1,000 with VIP)
- 2nd place: R300 (R600 with VIP)
- 3rd place: R200 (R400 with VIP)
There are also an additional five community cups to participate in this week. While these don’t have prize pools, Mettlestate can upgrade them later to Casual Cups if there’s enough community attention. These have R100 EGifts24 vouchers attached this week.
