Radisson RED Championship FIFA 23 with R5,000 prize pool and more
South African tournament organizer African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL) has announced the Radisson RED Championship for FIFA 23 (PlayStation only), powered by Braintree Gaming and The Toyota Gaming Engine. Here’s what you need to know, including how you can qualify.
Radisson RED Championship FIFA 23 details
First up, the event will take place at the Radisson RED hotel in the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town on 17 December 2022. This is a LAN event, so you cannot compete in the main event online. There’s a prize pool of R5,000 on the line, and you can purchase a ticket for the event for R50 via the ACGL store. A total of 128 players maximum will compete in the event, and there are ways to qualify without paying the R50.
ACGL explains: “Alongside the qualifying players, 16 players who have proven their skills over the course of the CSR events hosted in collaboration with Kasi Gamerz and The Toyota Gaming Engine will be invited to compete. A number of ticket giveaways will also be hosted leaving around 100 spots for those who want to register and pay their entry fee beforehand. Any places still available on 17 December will be offered to walk-in players, but these might be limited, so we suggest getting your spot secured right away.”
So how do you qualify for the Raddison RED Championship for FIFA 23? Well, there are a number of ways, which are explained below.
- 4 December: Online Qualifier. Top two will earn entry to the Radisson RED CPT event. Any accommodation or travel will be at the player’s expense.
- 16 December: Live Qualifier at Trenchtown. Top two will earn entry to the Radisson RED CPT event. Any accommodation or travel will be at the player’s expense.
- 17 December: Main Event at Radisson RED CPT.
Prize pool distribution:
- 1st Place: R2,500 cash + Radisson RED Cape Town one-night stay for two
- 2nd Place: R1,500 cash + Radisson RED Cape Town dinner voucher
- 3rd Place: R1,000 cash
