The first Tier 1 Dota 2 esports event of the year is FISSURE Universe Episode 8, taking place this weekend for fans to enjoy, with some big names in attendance. Here’s what you must know so you don’t miss out on any of the FISSURE Universe Episode 8 action.
FISSURE Universe Episode 8 details
FISSURE Universe Episode 8 is an online event, taking place on the Europe West servers from 29 January to 1 February 2026, offering four days of non-stop action. Eight of the world’s best Dota 2 teams will compete for their share of the $250,000 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s over R4 million!
There’s a Play-In stage underway to determine the final two teams. At the time of writing, the six direct invite teams for FISSURE Universe Episode 8 have been revealed. Check them out below.

The tournament format is a no-nonsense double-elimination bracket. The Grand Final is a best-of-five slugfest, while all other matches are best-of-three.
