TI 2025 WEU: The two winners
At the Western Europe Closed Qualifier, it was an absolute bloodbath, with Team Secret ending in last place, and OG, Virtus.pro, and Yellow Submarine not making it through.
In the Upper Bracket of the Playoffs, it was NAVI Junior who came out swinging with incredible vigor, first beating Yellow Submarine 2-0 and then shocking fans as they beat Nigma Galaxy 2-1 in the Quarterfinals. In the Semifinals, NAVI Junior reverse-sweeped 1w Team 2-1, and then claimed the first place at the Closed Qualifier and thereby, a spot at TI 2025 by reverse-sweeping OG in a dramatic 2-1.
After their defeat at the hands of NAVI Junior, it was Nigma Galaxy who made an incredible lower-bracket run, beating Virtus.pro 2-0, then 1w Team 2-0, before reverse-sweeping Yellow Submarine and then beating OG 2-1 to claim the final slot at The International 2025.
Congratulations go out to both NAVI Junior and Nigma Galaxy for making their way through the TI 2025 WEU Closed Qualifier. We can’t wait to see what they do at the main event of The International 2025 later this year.
