The International 2022 Playoffs matches & schedule
It’s been one of the most exciting times for Dota 2 esports fans, with The International 2022’s Group Stage finishing up this past weekend in Singapore. We saw 20 teams compete, and following the Group Stage, four were eliminated. Here’s what you need to know about The International 2022’s playoffs, aka the Main Event.
TI 2022 Playoffs details
Since the group stage featured a single round-robin format where all matches are best-of-two, we saw quiet a few draws, which isn’t that great. Now, with the playoffs starting this week, things genuinely heat up.
The top four teams from each group advanced to the Upper Bracket of the playoffs, while the 5th to 8th-placed teams advanced to the Lower Bracket of the playoffs. The following teams finished in the bottom two spots of their respective group and were therefore eliminated: Soniqs, BetBoom Team, TSM and Talon Esports.
From 20 to 23 October, the first portion of The International 2022’s playoffs will take place, followed by the finals weekend from 29 to 30 October 2022. We expect a lot of heartbreak and exciting Dota 2 esports matches. Speaking of matches, you can check out the schedule of the first round of Upper Bracket and Lower Bracket matches in SAST below.

All other matches are best-of-three, except for the Grand Final, which is best-of-five.
