Resilience and Vici top China Closed Qualifier for The International 2026
The qualifiers leading up to The International 2026 have produced some outstanding, thrilling Dota 2 esports action thus far, as teams compete in regional Closed Qualifier events for the final spots at The International 2026’s main event, taking place later this year in Shanghai, China.
As a strong region, China had two spots available in the Chinese Closed Qualifier for The International 2026, with a total of eight teams competing in the double-elimination bracket, featuring best-of-three matches throughout.
Team Resilience barreled through the Upper Bracket to qualify for The International 2026, defeating Cloud Rising 2-0, Team Refuser 2-0, and Yakutou Brothers 2-0 for a clean sweep run.
After beating Grey Track 2-0, we saw Vici Gaming fall to the Lower Bracket at the hands of Yakutou Brothers. Vici Gaming bounced back with vigor in the Lower Bracket, eliminating Cloud Rising 2-0, Team Refuser 2-1, and Yakutou Brothers with a 2-1 reverse-sweep comeback to claim the final Chinese spot at The International 2026.
