Following the events of ESL One Birmingham 2026, where Tundra Esports bested Team Yandex in the Grand Final, there’s another huge Dota 2 esports tournament to look forward to. We are, of course, talking about PGL Wallachia Season 8, so let’s blink straight in and get to the most important details.

PGL Wallachia Season 8 event details

At the PGL Studio venue in Bucharest, Romania, 16 of the best Dota 2 esports teams will compete live on LAN. PGL Wallachia Season 8 runs from 16 to 26 April 2026, and there’s a cool $1 million prize pool (roughly R16.9 million) on the line.

The action begins with the Group Stage, which features a modified 16-team Swiss-System format with a single group. All matches are best-of-three. The top eight advance to the Playoffs Stage, while the rest are eliminated.

In PGL Wallachia Season 8’s Playoffs Stage, the remaining eight teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket, with the Grand Final best-of-five and all other matches best-of-three.
