It was a wild ride at the PGL Wallachia Season 8’s Group Stage, with favorites such as Team Spirit and Tundra Esports not winning a single match. Eight made it past the Group Stage, with BetBoom Team and Aurora Gaming topping the charts with perfect 3-0 records.
In the Playoffs Stage, BetBoom Team got off to an explosive start, shocking onlookers as the 2-0’d Team Spirit with confidence. BetBoom Team struck down Team Liquid with a 2-1 reverse-sweep comeback in the Upper Bracket Semifinals, and bested Aurora Gaming 2-1 in the Upper Bracket Final for a spot in the Grand Final.
After falling down to the Lower Bracket Final, it was Aurora Gaming who impressed with a clean 2-0 against Team Falcons for their spot in the Grand Final of PGL Wallachia Season 8.
In the best-of-five Grand Final, BetBoom Team didn’t give Aurora Gaming an inch. After three games, BetBoom Team emerged victorious with a 3-0 scoreline to lift the PGL Wallachia Season 8 trophy. Congratulations!
