OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online Europe/CIS tournament details

The OGA Dota PIT 2020 was supposed to be a DPC Minor, but it was changed to an online regional format due to to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the OGA Dota PIT online Europe/CIS tournament kicks off. Here’s everything you need to know so you don’t miss out on some great Dota 2 esports action.

OGA Dota PIT 2020 Europe/CIS details

The OGA Dota PIT Online Europe/CIS tournament takes place from 13th to 23rd May 2020.  Each day of the tournament starts at 11:00 SAST, with the last match taking place at 20:00.

Ten teams will fight it out for their share of the $150,000 prize pool. Some of the top teams in the world, for example, OG, Team Secret and Virtus.Pro will compete at the event.

Prize pool distribution:

  • 1st place – $62,000
  • 2nd place – $32,000
  • 3rd place – $17,000
  • 4th place – $12,000
  • 5th and 6th place – $7,000
  • 7th and 8th place – $5,000
  • 9th and 10th place – $1,500

It will be exciting to see the OG squad with Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, as reports suggest he is back in Europe and ready for action.

Teams and format

Ten top Dota 2 teams from both the CIS and European regions will compete in the tournament. Check out the group stage placements below.

Group A:
  • Alliance
  • HellRaisers
  • OG
  • Natus Vincere
  • Vikin.gg
Group B:
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas
  • Team Liquid
  • Virtus.Pro
  • Team Secret
  • Team Spirit

Four teams of each group will advance to the playoffs, while the bottom team in each group will be eliminated. All matches in the group stage are best-of-three, and it will follow a round-robin format.

The playoffs will feature a double-elimination bracket. All matches are best-of-three, with the exception of best-of-five grand finals.
