ESL One Stockholm Major results and highlights

Since 12 May 2022, Dota 2 esports fans had the pleasure of watching the ESL One Stockholm Major take place. This past weekend, the Stockholm Major came to a thrilling conclusion in front of a live crowd. Here’s what went down during the ESL One Stockholm Major, as well as the final results and standings.

ESL One Stockholm Major results

With the qualified Chinese teams not competing due to the current situation in China, as well as Mind Games being disqualified due to ongoing VISA issues, 13 teams competed for their share of the $500,000 prize pool and 3,530 DPC points.

During the group stage, we saw Tundra Esports top Group A with ease, while Gaimin Gladiators topped Group B. Heading into the playoffs, TSM went on a rampage, beating OG 2-0, Gaimin Gladiators 2-0, and Tundra Esports 2-1 to make it to the grand final.

Following their defeat against TSM, OG made a heroic lower bracket run, knocking out BOOM Esports 2-0, Fnatic 2-1, Thunder Awaken 2-0, Gaimin Gladiators 2-0 and Tundra Esports 2-1 to claim their spot in the grand final of ESL One Stockholm Major.

in the grand final, we saw TSM take the first map in a convincing fashion. However, in true OG style, the squad came back swinging and swept up the series with three consecutive wins, beating TSM 3-1 to become the ESL One Stockholm Major champions.

Stockholm Major final standings:
  • 1st place – OG wins $200,000 and 680 DPC points.
  • 2nd place – TSM wins $100,000 and 610 DPC points.
  • 3rd place – Tundra Esports wins $75,000 and 530 DPC points.
  • 4th place – Gaimin Gladiators wins $50,000 and 460 DPC points.
  • 5th and 6th place – Beastcoast and Thunder Awaken win $25,000 and 385 DPC points each.
  • 7th and 8th place – Betboom Team and Fnatic win $12,500 and 240 DPC points each.

A big congratulations go out to OG for winning the ESL One Stockholm Major. It was a thrilling Dota 2 esports event of the highest quality.
