Your Dota 2 esports guide to BLAST Slam VII

Just as DreamLeague Season 29 comes to a thrilling conclusion, where PARIVISION overcame Aurora Gaming in a 3-2 slugfest, it’s time for another big Dota 2 esports event to get underway. BLAST Slam VII is right around the corner, so here’s what you must know!

Important BLAST Slam VII details

BLAST Slam VII runs from 26 May to 7 June 2026, taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark. Teams are fighting for their share of the $1 million prize pool, which is roughly R16.5 million at the current exchange rate.

The action begins with the Group Stage this week (26 to 29 May 2026), where all 12 teams will compete in a best-of-one Round Robin format. Advancing straight to the Semifinals are the top two teams, while 3rd and 4th place teams go to the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals.

The 5th and 6th place teams head to the Last Chance Qualifier Round 2, the 7th to 10th place teams head to the Last Chance Qualifier Round 1, and the bottom two teams are eliminated. Last Chance Qualifier matches take place on May 30, and the top two advance to the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals.

The Playoffs Stage (4 to 7 June) will take place at the BLAST Studio venue in Copenhagen, Denmark, where the final six teams will compete live on LAN in a single-elimination bracket, where all matches are best-of-five.
