BLAST Slam VI viewer’s guide
While FISSURE Universe Episode 8 is technically the first Tier 1 Dota 2 esports event of the calendar year, BLAST Slam VI is the tournament with a LAN portion. It’s an exciting tournament for Dota 2 fans, teams, and players hoping to start the year with vigor. Let’s dive in and discuss the must-known details for BLAST Slam VI.
BLAST Slam VI event details
BLAST Slam VI runs from 3 to 15 February 2026, offering roughly two weeks of excitement. The first two stages of competition take place online via the Europe West servers, and the Playoffs Stage is set to take place live on LAN at the BLAST Studios in Malta.
The action begins with the Group Stage (3 to 5 February), where all 12 teams will compete in a best-of-one Round Robin format. Advancing straight to the Semifinals are the top two teams, while 3rd to 8th place proceed to the Play-In, and the bottom 9th to 12th place to the Last Chance Playoff, where they’ll fight for two spots in the Play-In Stage.
In the Last Chance Playoff & Play-In Stage (6 to 8 February), all matches are best-of-three, with the winners of their Play-In Stage matches advancing to the Quarterfinals of the Playoffs.
In the Playoffs Stage (13 to 15 February), live on LAN in Malta, the remaining six teams will fight through a single-elimination bracket, where all matches are best-of-five.

The teams are fighting for their share of the $1 million prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R16.5 million!
It will be interesting to see if Tundra Esports can win their fifth consecutive BLAST Slam event in a row. Yes, you read that correctly, they are currently the four-time reigning champions.
