BLAST Slam III Dota 2 viewer’s guide

BLAST Slam III event details
The BLAST Slam III event takes place this week, running from 5 to 11 May 2025. It features 10 of the best Dota 2 esports teams in the world, competing on LAN for their share of a huge $1 million prize pool. That’s roughly R18.5 million at the current exchange rate.
The tournament starts with two round-robin groups, where all matches are best-of-one. Teams will then be seeded in the playoffs according to their placement in their respective groups with a King of the Hill type of system. No teams are eliminated during this stage of the competition.

Playoffs placements from the Group Stage are as follows:
- 1st place teams are seeded to Semifinals
- 2nd place teams are seeded to Quarterfinals
- 3rd place teams are seeded to Round 2
- 4th and 5th place teams are seeded to Round 1
The Playoffs Stage of BLAST Slam III features a single-elimination bracket, where all matches are BO3, except for the Grand Final, which is BO5.
