PGL Wallachia Season 2 results and standings
At the PGL Studio in Bucharest, Romania. PGL Wallachia Season 2’s playoffs take place over the weekend of 10 to 13 October 2024, where the best Dota 2 teams in the world competed for their share of the huge $1 million prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R17.6 million. Here’s how things went down, alongside the final standings.
PGL Wallachia S2 results
After an exciting group stage, 16 teams were quickly whittled down to just eight. In the double-elimination bracket format playoffs, where all matches are best-of-three, except for the Grand Final, which is best-of-five, one of the favorites, Team Falcons, went on a rampage. Team Falcons beat Beastcoast 2-1, Nouns Esports 2-0, and HEROIC 2-1 to make it to the grand finale.
After beating Infinity with a clean 2-0 and then reverse-sweeping Tundra Esports, HEROIC fell to Team Falcons in the winner’s bracket final. HEROIC bounced back in the lower bracket, beating Tundra Esports 2-1 to secure a rematch against Team Falcons.
In the PGL Wallachia Season 2 Grand Final, Team Falcons got off to a fantastic start, winning the first game with relative ease. However, something just sparked in HEROIC, and the squad won the next three games in a row to smash Team Falcons 3-1, shocking most of the fans watching.
Final PGL Wallachia S2 standings
- 1st place – HEROIC wins $300,000
- 2nd place – Team Falcons wins $175,000
- 3rd place – Tundra Esports wins $120,000
- 4th place – NAVI wins $80,000
- 5th & 6th place – Nouns Esports and Beastcoast win $60,000 each.
- 7th & 8th place – AVULUS and Infinity win $40,000 each.
- 9th to 11th place – Invictus Gaming, Alliance, and Azure Ray win $20,000 each.
- 12th to 14th place – L1GA TEAM, Nigma Galaxy, and MOUZ win $15,000 each.
- 15th & 16th place – Apex Genesis and Team Waska win $10,000 each.
