Following Team Spirit’s dominance at The International 2023, the final big, S-Tier Dota 2 esports event of the year begins soon. We are talking about the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 tournament, of course, and fans should definitely not miss out. Here’s what you need to know.

ESL One Kuala Lumpur details

ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 is a LAN event taking place from 11 to 17 December 2023 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, Singapore.

This massive event will see 12 of the best teams in the world, including the likes of Gaimin Gladiators and LGD Gaming, compete for their share of the $1 million prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R18 million to fight for.

The action starts with the Group Stage, featuring two single round-robin groups of six teams each. All series feature two games. The top two teams from each group advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs, while the bottom two advance to the lower bracket, and the rest are eliminated.

Following the Group Stage, we will see a double-elimination bracket take place, where all matches are best-of-three, except for the grand final, which is best-of-five.

Teams competing:
  • LGD Gaming
  • Gaimin Gladiators
  • BetBoom Team
  • Team Secret
  • Team Liquid
  • Azure Ray
  • Invictus Gaming
  • Team Falcons
