Bravado wins ESEA South Africa S44 Main Division

Since January 2023, the best CS:GO esports teams in South Africa have been competing in the ESEA South Africa Season 44 Main Division for a prize pool of $6,650. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R118,000. Here’s what went down.

Following a tough Round-Robin group stage, Season 43 winners, Shauns Pawns, came out on top as the playoffs got underway. In the first round of the playoffs, Shauns Pawns got a bye, then beat Goliath Gaming 2-1 before getting knocked down to the lower bracket by Bravado Gaming with a clean 2-0 win.

Bravado Gaming demolished ATK Female with a 2-0, as both maps saw 16-3 scorelines. Bravado then went on to reverse-sweep VYBN and beat Shauns Pawns 2-0 to make it to the grand final of ESEA South Africa Season 44 Main Division with a one-map advantage coming from the upper bracket.

DNMK Esports clawed their way back through the entire lower bracket after losing to Goliath Gaming in the first round of the Upper Bracket and managed to reverse-sweep Shauns Pawns with the final two maps both going into overtime to make it to the grand final.

In the Grand Final of ESEA South Africa Season 44 Main Division, DNMK won the first map, Nuke, with a 16-11 scoreline. Bravado, showing their big match temperament once again, came back swinging, beating DNMK 16-9 on Ancient, followed by a close 16-14 win on Inferno to claim the crown.

Congratulations to Bravado Gaming’s squad for winning ESEA South African Season 44 Main Division. For their efforts, Bravado gets $3,000, while DNMK Esports gets $1,900, Shauns Pawns gets $1,000, and Goliath Gaming gets $750.
