BLAST Spring Showdown Americas and Europe results
Despite all the hype surrounding Counter-Strike 2, the CS:GO esports continues. Recently, the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown events for the Americas and Europe have been completed, so here are the results, including the final teams who managed to qualify for the BLAST Spring Final 2023.
BLAST Spring Showdown results
Eight teams per region competed in both the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown Americas and Europe online events over the past weekend. Each region only had one spot in the huge BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2023 event to fight for, which takes place in June 2023. Both these tournaments also had a prize pool of $67,500 each.
In the European BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, we saw Cloud9 take no prisoners, beating Copenhagen Flames 2-0, NiP 2-1, and finally, reverse-sweeping German powerhouse BIG in the grand finals to claim victory for a dramatic finish.
Brazillian squad Imperial Esports had an equally impressive run in the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown Americas, reverse-sweeping Complexity in the first round. They then went on to beat Evil Geniuses Black 2-0 and fellow Brazillian squad paiN Gaming 2-0 to claim victory and the coveted spot in the BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2023.
A big congratulations go out to both Cloud9 and Imperial Esports for making it to the huge CS:GO event in June 2023. Both these teams also win $20,000 in prize money for their efforts.
