BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2023 Europe viewer’s guide

If you are a CS:GO esports fan, then there’s an exciting tournament, essentially a last-chance qualifier, kicking off at the end of this month. Yes, we are talking about the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2023 Europe event, which features some great teams. Here’s what you need to know.

Spring Showdown 2023 Europe details

First, it is essential to note that two BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2023 tournaments are running simultaneously, one for the Americas and one for Europe. This article focuses on the latter, an online event featuring a prize pool of $67,500. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that is roughly R1.2 million. The most important thing for the teams competing, however, has to be the one spot at the BLAST Premier Spring Final for the winner.

The tournament will run from 29 March to 2 April 2023. Eight teams who didn’t make it through the Spring Groups to the Spring Finals will compete for one singular spot. The teams competing are:

  • OG
  • NIP
  • BIG
  • Fnatic
  • Cloud9
  • 9INE
  • Rare Atom
  • TBC

Those are some big names for what is essentially a last-chance qualifier. It will surely be an exciting tournament, especially with the BLAST Premier production value we all know and love.

You can catch all the action via the official BLAST Premier Twitch channel. Since this is a European tournament, matches should start during the morning or early afternoon for South Africans. The exact start times have not been revealed at the time of writing.
