Have you ever seen a Chinese team lift a significant Counter-Strike LAN trophy? I haven’t, and neither has anyone else! That has now changed, as the Chinese team TYLOO has managed to secure a glorious victory at the FISSURE Playground #1 event.

Teams were competing from 15 to 20 July for their share of the huge $1 million combined prize pool. In the Group Stage, GamerLegion topped Group A, Lynn Vision Gaming topped Group B, TYLOO topped Group C, and Complexity topped Group D.

When it came to the Playoffs, Chinese squad TYLOO went on a convincing run, beating 3DMAX 2-0 and SAW 2-0 to make it to the Grand Finals. On the other side of the bracket, Astralis beat Lynn Vision Gaming 2-0 and BetBoom Team 2-0.

In the best-of-five Grand Final of FISSURE Playground #1, Astralis came out swinging with a 13-10 win on Inferno. However, TYLOO bounced back to show their big match temperament, shocking Astralis fans and many onlookers by winning the next three maps in a row (13-4 on Nuke, 16-14 on Mirage, and 13-10 on Ancient).

Congratulations to TYLOO for winning FISSURE Playground #1! Yi “JamYoung” Yang has become the first Chinese player to win an HLTV MVP award, making history with his dominating performance.
