Team Vitality wins BLAST Rivals 2026 Season 1
At the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, we saw the undisputed kings of Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), Team Vitality, once again dominate in the Grand Final to lift yet another top-tier trophy…their fifth of 2026 thus far.
Dan “apEX” Madesclaire’s men didn’t have the cleanest run possible at BLAST Rivals 2026 Season 1, showing at times that they can bleed.
The opening match of Group A, saw Team Vitality getting pushed to their limits by underdogs FUT Esports, who took a map, and pushed the series to a third, before Team Vitality won 2-1. In their second Group A match, they again faltered on a map against G2 Esports, but came out on top with a 2-1 win.
In the Semifinals, Team Vitality almost got pushed to a third by GamerLegion, with a 16-14 overtime win on Overpass to close out the series 2-0. However, they kept powering up, and in the Grand Final, smashed NAVI with a 3-0 win after coming back from a 11-0 deficit on the first map to break their opponent’s spirits.
Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut was named the MVP, picking up yet another medal as “The Chosen One” continues to destroy everyone in his path.
