StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 results and highlights video
At the start of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, 32 of the best Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) teams competed across three Swiss-system stages, with each team’s starting stage determined by VRS standings. Team Vitality and FaZe Clan clash
After thrilling Stage 1, 2, and 3 matches, eight remained to fight in the Playoffs Stage, with a shot at the coveted trophy and the lion’s share of the $1,250,000 prize pool.

On the one side of the bracket, FaZe Clan, clear underdogs who clawed their way through the entire tournament, took the stage at the MVM Dome and powered up. FaZe Clan shocked MOUZ with a 2-0 win in the Quarterfinals, and managed to pull off a reverse-sweep comeback against NAVI for a 2-1 victory to make their way to the Grand Final.
On the other side of the bracket, it was Team Vitality, led by Dan “apEX” Madesclaire, who destroyed The MongolZ with a clean 2-0 and managed to overcome the powerhouse Team Spirit squad with a closer 2-0 to secure a spot in the Grand Final.
The StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 came to a conclusion on Sunday, 14 December 2025, featuring a best-of-five Grand Final for the first time in CS Major Championship history.
In the Grand Final, FaZe Clan drew first blood by winning on Nuke. However, Team Vitality woke up to smash FaZe Clan on Dust2, Inferno, and Overpass, for a 3-1 win to lift the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 trophy.
A big congratulations go out to Team Vitality for becoming back-to-back Major Championship winners, and to French superstar AWPer, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, for picking up the MVP award.
