South African coach T.c joins Passion UA CS2 squad
For a long time now, South African Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports coach Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen has been at the top of the game. In fact, from January 2022 until March 2025, T.c was coaching the Complexity roster, with fellow South African Johnny “JT” Theodosiou as the IGL.
We reported that T.c and Complexity parted ways on 6 March 2025, and we’ve been wondering where the local Counter-Strike star would end up after becoming a free agent.
Now, in a surprising move, the Ukrainian roster of Passion UA has acquired Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen. The move was officially announced on X, with the organization welcoming T.c as the new head coach:
No guesswork. No noise. Just structure. Welcome the new head coach of Passion UA
Taking to X, Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen shared his excitement for the move, explaining to his fans and followers that:
Stoked to start my journey with Passion UA. This is a very unique challenge for me and I’m sure there will be plenty of ups and downs, but I’m looking forward to figuring it all out with the boys. Time to get to work.
We can’t wait to see how Passion UA does with T.c as the head coach. The only way is up, if I’m being honest, as the team is currently ranked 52nd globally by HLTV, and 61st by Valve.
