Your guide to CS2 at EWC 2025

It’s been fantastic watching all the hundreds of players compete at the Esports World Cup 2025, featuring many of our favorite titles. This weekend, the event comes to an end with the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) tournament, a fitting title to finish off proceedings. Here’s what you need to know so you don’t miss a second of the CS2 esports action at the EWC.

EWC 2025 CS2 event details

From 20 to 24 August 2025, the CS2 tournament at EWC will take place on LAN at Boulevard Riyadh City in Saudi Arabia. The squads are competing for their share of the $1,250,000 prize pool, which is roughly R22 million at the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate.

First off, check out the list of teams competing below, which were invited based on the VRS rankings as of 2 June 2025. 15 teams were invited, and TYLOO qualified by winning the Asian Champions League.

The teams are competing in a single-elimination bracket, where all matches are best-of-three. Yes, it really is a no-nonsense format with no second chances, so one loss means you are gone.
