CS Asia Championships 2025 viewer’s guide
There’s no stopping the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports train. As the ESL Pro League Season 22 event comes to an end on 12 October, the CS Asia Championships kick off on 14 October, promising more fantastic top-tier action for fans to watch. Let’s dive in and check out the most important details.
All CS Asia Championships details
The CS Asia Championships tournament is one of the first events that count towards points for the IEM Cologne Major 2026, making it an extremely important LAN event for the teams competing. There are 16 teams competing for their share of the total $1 million prize pool, split between a team share ($400,000) and a club share ($600,000).
At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R17.2 million to fight for. The tournament takes place in Shanghai, China, from 14 to 19 October 2025. Check out the teams competing outlined below.

All 16 teams will first compete in a Group Stage from 14 to 16 October 2025. The Group Stage features two double-elimination format GSL-style groups of eight teams each. Opening matches are BO1, and all other matches are BO3. The top three teams from each group advance to the Playoffs Stage, while the rest are eliminated. Group Stage winners advance to the Semifinals, while Group Stage runners-up advance to the Quarterfinals as the High Seeds, and 3rd-place finishers in each group are the Low Seeds of the Quarterfinals.
In the Playoffs Stage, which runs from 17 to 19 October 2025, the remaining six teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket format. All matches are BO3, with the exception of the Grand Final, which is BO5.
