BLAST Rivals Season 1 viewer’s guide

Following the exciting conclusion of IEM Melbourne 2025 and before the highly anticipated BLAST.tv Austin Major kicks off later this month, Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports fans have another huge event to look forward to: BLAST Rivals Season 1! Here’s what you need to know.

BLAST Rivals Season 1 event details

The BLAST Rivals Season 1 event is an S-Tier LAN tournament taking place from 30 April to 4 May 2025 at the BLAST Studios venue in Copenhagen. We can’t be more excited to watch what is considered the final event of the BLAST “Spring” season.

The event begins with the Group Stage, with two double-elimination format (GSL-style) groups of four teams each, where all matches are best-of-three. Check out both groups and how they received invites below.

Group A Teams:
  • Team Vitality (Global VRS Invite)
  • MOUZ (Global VRS Invite)
  • paiN Gaming (South America Invite)
  • Wildcard (North America Invite)​
Group B Teams:
  • Team Spirit (Global VRS Invite)
  • FaZe Clan (Global VRS Invite)
  • Team Falcons (European Invite)
  • FlyQuest (Asia Invite)​

Once the dust settles over the Group Stage, we’ll see the remaining six teams compete in a single-elimination bracket playoffs for their share of the $350,000 prize pool. That’s roughly R6.5 million at the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate. The Playoffs Stage takes place this weekend, from 2 to 4 May 2025. Don’t miss out!
