After 13 years, ENCE files for bankruptcy
We recently reported on Evil Geniuses shutting its doors for good. Unfortunately, that’s not the only legendary esports organization that has fallen. Late in October, ENCE announced that the organization has filed for bankruptcy after 13 years in operation.
In a short but painful post, ENCE simply said “End of an era” on social media, with an accompanying message that broke the hearts of fans.
“After 13 years, the Board of Directors of ENCE eSports Oy has made the difficult decision to file for bankruptcy. To our players, staff and partners, thank you for everything. And most importantly, to our fans: thank you for standing with us through every victory and defeat. None of this would have been possible without you. GG“
That’s an incredibly hard pill to swallow. I, for one, remember how I used to shout “EZ FOR ENCE” and there’s even a very popular music kit in CS2 named EZ4ENCE, which you should definitely check out.
It remains to be seen what will happen to the current ENCE roster in CS2.

- Giorgi “ā Schwarzā ” Gakhokidze
- Joe “ā joeskiā ” Holmes
- Henri “ā HENUā ” Ylilehto
- Aleksi “ā alluā ” Jalli (coach)
The head coach, Aleksi “ā alluā ” Jalli, took to X to tweet: “Heartbroken. I will make a more detailed statement on what’s up with myself and our team when the dust settles a bit.“
We wish everyone affected the best, and hope that these talented players and coach will find a new home soon.
