The Monster CoD Competition – powered by Monster Energy – has been announced and will see its conclusion at the rAge Expo later this year. Registrations are now open for the tournament which offers a prize pool of R10,000 cash.

Monster CoD Competition Details

Registrations are already open for teams of four in the Monster CoD Competition, and will close late on the night of Friday 8 November.

Teams will compete in and online qualifier hosted Mettlestate on Saturday 9 November. According to the rule page, the format for the qualifier is a double elimination bracket with best-of-three matches. The top four teams from the qualifier will head to the rAge Expo starting on 29 November.

It is unclear whether the top four will gain access to the rAge Expo for free to compete, but the online qualifiers themselves free to enter. All costs to get to the rAge Expo however are for the player’s account.

The competition is open to teams playing Black Ops 6 on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. It should be noted that to be eligible to compete, ‘players must be 18 or older.’ Additionally, ‘Monitor Cameras will be introduced’ for the qualifiers, requiring players to “do a full recording of their monitor from boot up until the game starts and ends. This is to make sure no third party software is being used.”

Details of how the R10,000 cash prize pool will be distributed has not been announced at the time of this article going live.
