There’s a massive Call of Duty: Warzone tournament taking place this week. Fans of Battle Royale esports can tune in to watch international teams compete in both the European and North American regions for their share of a huge prize pool. Here’s what you need to know.
Twitch Rivals Warzone Season 6 Showdown
There’s a total of $200,000 up for grabs in the Twitch Rivals Warzone Season 6 Showdown. That’s roughly R3.2 million at the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate. The European tournament will have a prize pool of $100,000, and the North American tournament will also have $100,000 up for grabs.
With up to 45 teams competing in each of the tournaments, and from past Twitch Rivals Showdowns, you can expect these teams to include some of the biggest names in Warzone. This should include famous streamers, as well as professional players.
For the European tournament, the start time and date is 23 October at 18:00 SAST. The North American tournament also kicks off on 23 October with the time being 23:00 SAST. Both tournaments are expected to run for roughly five hours, and with the different time zones in play, you will be able to watch them both.
With such a big prize pool at stake, and dozens of talented players as well as streamers involved, this is a tournament Warzone esports fans shouldn’t miss out on.
