Kicking off 2022 Punishers Duo tournament with R16,000 prize pool
Local esports organization The Punishers and South African tournament organiser Elite Pro Series have announced another Fortnite tournament for local gamers to enjoy. Kicking off this year with a bang, the “Kicking Off 2022 Punishers Duo tournament” features a whopping R16,000 prize pool. Here’s what you need to know.
Kicking off 2022 Punishers Duo details
First and foremost, registration is completely free. Start your journey by registering a free account at the Elite Pro Series website today. Event Registration opens two hours prior to tournament start times. The tournament runs from 10 to 16 January 2022.
There are a total of four qualifiers (10 to 13 January starting at 17:00 SAST each day), followed by where the top 25 duos each day will make their way to the semi-finals. Semi-finals 1 and 2 takes place on 14 and 15 January respectively, starting at 17:00 SAST each day. There’s an R100 prize for every Victory Royale, so with five games being played in each semi-final, the total prize pool here is R1,000.
The top 25 teams from each day of the semi-finals will make their way to the finals, which takes place on Sunday, 16 January starting at 15:00 SAST. In the finals, Duos teams will fight for their share of the R15,000 prize pool.
Finals prize pool distribution:
- 1st place – R7,000
- 2nd place – R5,000
- 3rd place – R3,000
Keep in mind that registration opens two hours prior to the event, so grab a Duos partner and be fast on the trigger. The Kicking off 2022 Punishers Duo tournament is open to PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo and mobile gamers.
