If you are in Cape Town or surrounding areas this weekend, you definitely shouldn’t miss out on ATK Arena’s Fortnite Killrace event, taking place at their venue, and featuring a nice big and juicy R9,000 prize pool. Here’s what you need to know, Fortnite fans!

ATK Fortnite Killrace details

The latest ATK Fortnite Killrace takes place this Sunday, 28 January 2024. This is a LAN event, so you can’t join online. Doors open at 09:00, and the event begins at 10:00 and is expected to run until 17:00. There’s a total prize pool of R9,000 up for grabs, divided into six rounds of play.  Spots are limited, so book your ticket for R80 via the event’s Quicket page.

This is a solo-play tournament, with the following prize pool distribution per round:

  • 1st place gets R750
  • 2nd place gets R450
  • 3rd place gets R300

ATK provided a note on what to bring, stating:

“We have generators so load shedding will only slightly delay the tournament schedule. Please bring your own controllers AND controller USB cables, we have limited controllers for hire. Feel free to bring your own headsets, keyboards, and mice! We have set all Fortnite settings to performance mode.”

The event will take place at the ATK Arena headquarters. If you can’t make it to the event, you can always watch the livestream. For those who don’t want to compete but can attend, there’s an exclusive viewing area in ATK’s lounge.

ATK Arena’s address is 91 Main Road, Claremont, Stadium on Main Parkade, Ground Floor Level 1, Cape Town, South Africa, 7708.
