Attention, battle royale fans! The Esports World Cup mega-event in Saudi Arabia at the Boulevard Riyadh City, Qiddiya Arena, is heating up with the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) 2025 Midseason Playoffs. Here’s what Apex Legends esports fans must know so they don’t miss out on any of the action.

ALGS 2025 Midseason Playoffs details

This weekend, from 10 to 13 July 2025, a total of 40 top Apex Legends teams will compete for their share of the massive $2 million prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R35.5 million.

The tournament is held by EA, Respawn Entertainment, and, of course, the Esports World Cup Foundation. Following the Pool Play and Last Chance Qualifier stages, the Finals will take place, featuring 20 teams that will compete in the Match Point Format. The first team to hit 50 points AND then secure a 1st-place finish in upcoming matches will be crowned as the winner. The remaining teams will be ranked by total points awarded in the series.
