As we approach the end of May, South African tournament organizer Mettlestate shows no signs of slowing down. As is tradition around these parts of the internet, we’ve got you covered with the important details of the weekly Cash Cups from Mettlestate, so let’s just dive straight in.
The new Cash Cups from Mettlestate
By our count, there are another nice handful of one-day Cash Cups from Mettlestate for us local gamers to compete in. To be exact, there are five (5), taking place on the active days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday).

- COD Mobile Cup – 5v5 tournament starting on Monday, 18 May 2026, at 19:30.
- VALORANT Cup – 5v5 tournament starting on Tuesday, 19 May 2026, at 19:30.
- EA FC 26 Cup – 1v1 tournament starting on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, at 19:30.
- PUBG Mobile Cup – Quads battle royale tournament starting on Thursday, 21 May 2026, at 19:30.
- Tekken 8 Cup – 1v1 tournament starting on Saturday, 23 May 2026, at 14:00.
Please note: The information about the Cash Cups above has been sourced from the Mettlestate event page. All times in the list below are in SAST. The tournament organizer may add more events at short notice, so check their page periodically for updates.
Registration for these tournaments closes about one to two hours before the events begin, with check-in during the hour before. All tournaments are free to enter, and feature a base prize pool of R1,000, which increases to R2,000 depending on participants’ Premium (VIP) status.
Prize pool distribution:
- 1st place: R500 (R1,000 with VIP)
- 2nd place: R300 (R600 with VIP)
- 3rd place: R200 (R400 with VIP)
