Don’t miss the MTN SHIFT COD BO6 LAN Final at Canal Walk

Calling all fans of the ever-popular Call of Duty franchise. There’s a huge esports event coming to its thrilling conclusion at Canal Walk Mall in Cape Town this weekend. While you cannot compete in this one, you can support local esports and come watch the action live. Here’s what you must know so you don’t miss out on the MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience COD Black Ops 6 LAN Final.

COD BO6 MTN SHIFT LAN Final details

The LAN Finals of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 event will take place live in front of a crowd at the Canal Walk Mall in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. The tournament takes place this weekend, on 13 and 14 September 2025.

It forms part of the MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience 2025, operated by South African tournament organizer ACGL and hosted by Hyprop, in partnership with MTN, Computer ManiaPC Builder Carry1st, and The Toyota Gaming Engine. You can purchase a ticket to spectate the tournament live, with options of R25 per day or R50 for the whole weekend. That’s a bargain by any stretch of the imagination, so if you are in the area, pick up a ticket via ACGL’s shop right now!

The final four qualified teams will compete for their share of the R60,000 prize pool, with the following prize pool distribution indicating all four teams get a piece of the pie:

  • 1st place – R30,000
  • 2nd place – R15,000
  • 3rd place – R10,000
  • 4th place – R5,000

The teams are competing in a double-elimination bracket at the COD BO6 MTN SHIFT LAN Final. According to the tournament’s page on ACGL’s website, the first matches are scheduled to begin at roughly 11:00 SAST on Saturday, 13 September 2025.

Don’t forget that the MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience 2025 finishes up with an epic four days at Canal Walk, from 17 to 21 September 2025. You’ll see national finals for the EA FC 25 and Beat Sabre take place, alongside a bunch of other activities for attendees to compete in.
