Mettlestate Cash Cups this week | 24 Feb to 2 March 2025
Last week, we reported on the Mettlestate Battlegrounds and the new website. While that’s awesome, we do need our weekly fix, and the South African tournament organizer continues to deliver new one-day Cash Cups each week. Let’s leap in and discuss which Cash Cups from Mettlestate you can mark on your calendar this week.
Cash Cups from Mettlestate this week
By our count, there are another five Cash Cups from Mettlestate for local gamers to compete in this week. These cups always take place on the active days of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The headline sponsor for all of them is UrbanX. Below, you can check out the game, format, date, and time details, covering the info you need to know to join in.
Please note: We gather information about the Cash Cups via the Mettlestate event page. All times in the list below are in SAST. Mettlestate could add more events at short notice, so check back to their page periodically.
- COD Mobile Cup – Duos battle royale tournament starting on Monday, 24 February 2025, at 19:30.
- Pokemon Pocket Cup – 1v1 tournament starting Tuesday, 25 February 2025, at 19:30.
- EA FC 25 Cup – 1v1 tournament starting Wednesday, 26 February 2025, at 19:30.
- Clash Royale Cup – 1v1 tournament starting Thursday, 27 February 2025, at 19:30.
- TBC – Another one is coming. At the time of writing, the March 2 cup has not been revealed.
Registration for these Cash Cups closes about two hours before the events begin, with check-in during the hour before. All tournaments above are free to enter and feature a base prize pool of R1,000, which increases to R2,000 depending on the players’ VIP status.
Prize pool distribution:
- 1st place: R500 (R1,000 with VIP)
- 2nd place: R300 (R600 with VIP)
- 3rd place: R200 (R400 with VIP)
