ESL One Bangkok 2024 results & highlights video

The final big Dota 2 esports event of the year, ESL One Bangkok 2024, didn’t disappoint. The best 12 teams in the world competed for their share of the huge $1 million prize pool in front of a crowd in Thailand from 9 to 15 December. Here’s what went down if you couldn’t watch the action live or just want to relive some of the best moments.

ESL One Bangkok highlights

During the ESL One Bangkok Group Stage, Team Falcons won Group A, while the Russian squad PARIVISION surprised fans by placing first in Group B. When the dust settled over the Group Stage, eight teams were left standing, set to compete in the Playoffs Stage over the weekend of 12 to 15 December.

In the Upper Bracket Semifinals, PARIVISION overcame AVULUS with a close 2-1 win, then set the stage alight by beating one of the favorites, BetBoom Team, with a 2-1 reverse sweep.

In the lower bracket, Team Liquid went on a miracle run, shocking the crowd as they eliminated Shopify Rebellion 2-0 and reverse-swept Team Falcons, Team Spirit, and BetBoom Team in that order to make it to the ESL One Bangkok Grand Final.

With Team Liquid’s incredible run and so many close calls, fans were convinced Liquid would win the entire event, and the Grand Final started brilliantly for them, as they won the first game.

PARIVISION, however, had other plans. The squad showed their big-match temperament, and with the legendary Volodymyr “No[o]ne-” Minenko popping off, they won the next three games in a row to claim victory with a final score of 3-1.

Congratulations to PARIVISION for breaking Team Liquid in the grand finale of ESL One Bangkok 2024. PARIVISION wins $300,000 for their victory, while Team Liquid limps away with $175,000 in prize money.
