Bravado hits snag with Project Destiny 2.0 and provides update

Back in April 2024, Bravado Gaming announced Project Destiny 2.0, and not so long ago, moved to Serbia, Belgrade, where they will train and compete until “mid-2026.” Europe is, of course, the strongest region in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports, and we are super excited to see them compete. However, the team has run into a bit of a snag, as long-term VISAs for their players in Serbia could not be secured.

Project Destiny 2.0 to move somewhere else

While a new haven for Project Destiny 2.0 has not been found just yet, Bravado did provide fans of an update, explaining that: “We have met consistent difficulties with the Serbian government despite exploring numerous options in order to let our players focus on playing Counter-Strike. Following yet another temporary residency refusal with little to no feedback on the reasoning for such, Bravado’s management team has decided to cut our losses and refocus our efforts elsewhere in Europe.”

We know they plan to move somewhere else in Europe, and tha for now, Johnathan “Doru” Fox and Kian “Triton” Gibson have already returned to South Africa. Bravado is looking into locations within Europe such as Bulgaria, Poland and Greece.

Bravado noted that while this is a setback, it is “far from the end of Project Destiny 2.0” and thanked fans for their support and patience in the matter. Andreas “Cent” Hadjipaschali, the co-founder and CEO of Bravado Gaming, explained:

“It’s unfortunate that our plans within Serbia didn’t work out as we had hoped. But we have learnt a lot from our brief time there, and plan on using that knowledge in ensuring the rest of the project goes smoothly. We are effectively in Project Destiny 2.1.”

In case you haven’t been following Project Destiny 2.0, Bravado Gaming’s CS2 roster is:

  • Johnathan “Doru” Fox (IGL)
  • Kian “Triton” Gibson
  • Marchahn “march” Smith
  • Wiljahne “wilj” Smith
  • Timothy “tvs” Sjöberg
  • Daniel “LaBishop” Thomas Hufton (Coach)

We hope to see the unfortunate situation resolved soon, and we want to extend all the best of luck to Bravado Gaming and Project Destiny 2.0 players.
