BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023 results: FaZe’s streak ends
In front of a live crowd in Copenhagen, Denmark, at the Royal Arena this past weekend, we saw the best Counter-Strike 2 teams in the world compete at the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023. Here’s what went down during the event and how someone finally broke FaZe Clan’s 18-game winning streak.
BLAST Premier Fall Final results
In the group stage, two frontrunners emerged, with FaZe Clan’s domination continuing on as they topped Group A with a 2-0 scoreline and qualified for the semifinals of BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023. In Group B, we saw Team Vitality, led by Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclair, smash the competition for their 2-0 scoreline and birth into the semifinal.
In the first quarterfinal, we saw Complexity with South African IGL Johnny ” JT” Theodosiou and coach Tiaan “T.c.” Coertzen reverse-sweep the new Na’Vi squad in dramatic fashion, before losing 2-1 to FaZe Clan in the semifinal. On the other side of the bracket, Cloud9 swept Heroic under the rug but got stopped in their tracks by Team Vitality, with the French organization’s CS2 team being on point for the 2-1 victory.
In the grand final of BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023, Team Vitality went into overdrive, crushing FaZe Clan 13-3 on Vertigo and finishing off the tournament with a close 13-11 win on Nuke to claim the trophy and the first-place prize!
BLAST Fall Final Standings:
- 1st place – Vitality wins $200,000
- 2nd place – FaZe Clan wins $85,000
- 3rd & 4th place – Cloud9 and Complexity win $40,000 each.
- 5th & 6th place – Na’Vi and Heroic win $20,000 each.
- 7th & 8th place – Ninjas in Pyjamas and Astralis win $10,000 each.
The Chosen One, aka Vitality’s Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, earned the MVP award for his crushing performance at the BLAST Premier Fall Final! We will see Team Vitality in action at the BLAST World Final 2023, taking place in December, and it will be interesting to see if FaZe Clan can bounce back now that their huge win streak is broken.
