African Pro Series for Free Fire announced with $1500 prize pool
Are you a Free Fire player who happens to have a team? Then call up that squad of yours and tell them about the Tribe!’s Africa Pro Series, a massive battle royale event for all of Africa, including South Africa! Here’s what you need to know.
African Pro Series details
Powered by ACGL and Carry1st, and presented by Tribe, the African Pro Series features a huge prize pool of $1500. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R27,000! Starting in July (so you have time to practice or get a team together), the African Pro Series will have multiple qualifiers per region, alongside regional finals and a grand final. In the grand final, the prize pool distribution will be as follows:
- 1st Place: $750
- 2nd Place: $500
- 3rd Place: $250
You can register your squad no matter where you are in Africa right now by heading to the registration page on ACGL. Read through the announcement post while you are at it. Registration is completely free, in case you were wondering!
APS Schedule:
- July 8th: Qualifier 1 | All regions
- July 15th: Qualifier 2 | All regions
- July 22nd: Playoffs | Southern and Eastern Africa
- July 23rd: Playoffs | Western and Northern Africa
- July 29th: Grand Final
Event format & structure:
- 4 regions
- 2 qualifiers per region
- 2 lobbies per qualifier
- 3 teams per lobby (6 teams per qualifier) progress to playoffs
- 12 teams progress to region playoff
- 3 teams per region qualify for grand final
- 12 teams in total compete for glory and cash in the grand finals!
Regions:
- Northern: Tunisia, Libya, Morocco, Egypt, Algeria.
- Eastern: Burundi,Congo, Comoros, Central african republic, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Rwanda,Seychelles, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda.
- Southern: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Reunion, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
- Western: Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad,Cameroon, Cabo Verde, Cote d’Ivoire, Equi Guinea, Gabon, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo, Western Sahara.
