DreamLeague Season 19 viewer’s guide
The Dota 2 esports is picking up again after a bit of an off-season. This week, we see the DreamLeague Season 19 event begin, with a tonne of action for fans to watch. To help you not miss out on any of the Dota 2 esports from DreamLeague Season 19, we’ve got you covered with all the details.
DreamLeague Season 19 details
Organized by ESL, DreamLeague Season 19 is a huge online event played on the West Europe servers and featuring teams and players from across the globe.
The action begins this weekend, on 9 April, and will run until 23 April 2023. A total of 16 teams will be competing for their share of the huge $1 million prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s nearly R18 million. 9 to 12 April – Group Stage 1:
- Two groups of eight teams each
- Single round-robin
- All matches are Bo2
- Top four teams from each group advance to group stage 2
- Remaining teams are eliminated
14 to 20 April – Group Stage 2:
- One group of eight teams
- Single round-robin
- All matches are Bo3
- Top two teams advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs
- 3rd and 4th place team advance to the lower bracket of the playoffs
- Remaining teams are eliminated
22 to 23 April 2023 – Playoffs:
- Double-elimination bracket
- All matches except Grand Final are Bo3
- Grand Final is Bo5
