IEM Rio Major 2022 Champions Stage matchups and schedule
It has been a wild ride in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro, as the first CS:GO esports Major held in South America is coming to an end soon. We’ve seen massive upsets and a whole lot of heartbreak thus far throughout the Challengers and Legends stages. This week, the IEM Rio Major 2022 will come to an exciting conclusion. Here’s what you need to know.
IEM Rio Major Champions Stage details
The top eight teams from the Legends stage compete in a single-elimination bracket. Seeding was done using the final rankings from the Legends Stage. In this stage, all matches are best-of-three. Teams are competing for their share of the $1,250,000 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R22 million.
This week, from 10 to 13 November 2022, the final eight teams will fight for glory. This is, of course, a single-elimination bracket, so one mistake and you are out. To make it easy for CS:GO esports fans, we’ve got the full match schedule in SAST below.
- Outsiders vs Fnatic – Quarter-Finals – 10 November at 19:00.
- MOUZ vs Cloud9 – Quarter-Finals – 10 November at 22:30.
- Spirit vs Heroic – Quater-Finals – 11 November at 19:00.
- FURIA vs Na’Vi – 11 November at 22:30.
- Semifinals 1 – 12 November at 19:00.
- Semifinals 2- 12 November at 22:30.
- Grand Finals – 13 November at 20:00
It will be exciting to see if FaZe can win back-to-back Majors or if Na’Vi can return to form despite losing their previous IGL and the ongoing war in Ukraine. Maybe, just maybe, a new champion will rise. This is going to be one exciting weekend for CS:GO esports.
