BLAST Premier Fall 2020 Showdown: Results and final placements

At the BLAST Premier Fall 2020 Showdown, we saw 16 CS:GO teams compete for only two spots at the BLAST Premier Fall Finals, and it was an exceptionally exciting CS:GO esports tournament to watch. Now, the dust has settled and we have the two teams that will join others in the finals this December.

BLAST Premier Showdown results

A total of 16 teams competed in two single-elimination brackets, which meant we got to experience two CS:GO finals in a week. In the first bracket, FURIA showed signs of their previous form, taking out Isurus 2-1, and following it up with a 2-0 against Virtus.pro. FURIA went on to beat Team Liquid in the finals with an exciting 2-1 performance, claiming a spot at the BLAST Premier Fall 2020 Finals.

In the other single-elimination bracket, mousesports impressed by beating GODSENT 2-0, followed by a close match against Heroic, as mousesports sent the Danish squad packing with a 2-1 win. In the finals, mousesport went up against the new Cloud9 Colussus squad, beating them with relative ease and a map score of 2-0. With the win, mousesport claims their place at the BLAST Premier Fall 2020 Finals.

BLAST Premier Showdown final standings:
  • 1st & 2nd place: FURIA & mousesports – $25,000 and a spot in the finals
  • 3rd & 4th place: Cloud9 & Team Liquid – $15,000
  • 5th to 8th place: Virtus.pro, MIBR, Complexity & Heroic – $10,000
  • 9th to 16th place: Isurus, Spirit, FaZe, NiP, MAD Lions, Sprout, GODSENT & Endpoint – $3,750

Congratulations to FURIA and mousesports for claiming their spots in the BLAST Premier Fall 2020 Finals. The finals will feature eight teams and run from 9 to 13 December 2020, and we will be sure to bring you coverage on the tournament.
