RLCS 2024 World Championship viewer’s guide

Throughout the year, we’ve seen some awesome Rocket League esports action from the best teams across the globe, including local teams competing in the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) sub-Saharan Africa events. Now, it’s time for the crowing RLCS 2024 World Championship to begin, and we couldn’t be more excited! Here’s what you need to know.

RLCS 2024 World Championship details

From 10 to 15 September, 16 teams will compete at the Dickies Arena venue in Fort Worth, USA, for their share of the $1,165,500 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R21 million!

The action begins with the Swiss Stage (10 to 13 September) with a 16-team Swiss System format, where all matches are best-of-five. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs, and there are Swiss Tiebreakers on 14 September 2024. The RLCS 2024 World Championship playoffs take place on 14 and 15 September 2024, where all matches are best-of-seven.

The sixteen teams in attendance include Limitless, which is filled with South African players and features a Puerto Rican/American coach.
