Final RLCS SSA qualifier this weekend before Major 1
Last year, we followed Rocket League esports team Limitless all the way to the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) World Championship. We are excited to share that it looks like Limitless might compete in the first RLCS Major of the year if they do well enough in the final RLCS Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) qualifier.
Limitless at RLCS 2024 Major?
Limitless, filled with three South African players, is on the verge of qualifying for the RLCS 2024 Major 1. This massive event will take place live in front of a crowd late in March 2024 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Limitless is on top of the RLCS 2024 SSA rankings right now, with 32, having won both previous Open Qualifiers. The third and final qualifier is already underway, and runs until 3 March 2024.
There are two other teams in contention. One is Shmongolia, with three South African players at 18 points. Then we also have Young Money Clan, filled with players from England…which is a bit curious for a Sub-Saharan Africa league, at 24 points.
Limitless team:
- David “2Die4” Morgenrood
- Gareth “Snowyy” Spiers
- Joshua “Sweaty” Kleynhans
- Aaron “Noxes” Cadiz (Coach)
The teams are also competing for their share of the $24,150 prize pool. You can tune into the ACGL Alpha Twitch channel to watch all the Rocket League esports action. If you can’t watch the action live, don’t worry; we’ll bring you a rundown of what went down next week!
